Returns & Change of Mind

7 day returns
We want you to love the products you buy from Home Furniture Outlet. If you change your mind, you may return it to us within 7 days of the date you received it.

You will be responsible for the shipping the goods back to our warehouse to facilitate a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes the costs of shipping the item to you in the first place and the cost of shipping back to us.

You must lodge a return request via the contact us with your name and order number and our customer care team will arrange the return for you.

Items returned must be in ‘as-new’ condition and packaged securely in the original packaging. This means you have not used, assembled, damaged, washed or laundered any of the items. If all is approved a store credit less 20% to cover administration fees etc will be processed. Some of our warehouses also charge restocking fees.

Non-returnable items excluded from all change of mind returns include:

  • Products described as “made to order”
  • Products marked with … “This item is NOT eligible for our 7 day change of mind return”
  • Mattresses, bedding, pillows and sofa covers
  • All forms of clearance stock (e.g. warehouse etc.)
  • All Lighting
  • Clearance items
  • Personalised items
  • Products deemed for office, commercial, hospitality or non-domestic use

Within 2 business days of receiving your return, and subject to confirming it is in ‘as-new’ condition, we will issue you with a store credit voucher via email in an amount equal to the price you paid for the product, less the cost to ship the product to you and the return shipping back to the warehouse. Credits are issued in the form of store credit.
Store credit voucher codes will be valid for one (2) year from the date of issue.

We will not accept returns delivered in person to our depots, offices or warehouse facilities.

If you change your mind before the order has been shipped we can organise a refund less 20% to cover administration fees etc. (this does not apply to made to order items).

Orders cannot be cancelled once they have left our warehouse .Clients must take delivery of their orders once they have left our warehouse.

Guarantee and After-sales Service

All products sold by Home  are covered by a standard guarantee against hidden defects, provided by our suppliers.

To benefit from this guarantee, please contact Home Furniture Outlet Campbelltown & Penrith prior to returning the product to HFO. We will attempt to exchange and return the product to you. However, given the popularity of the campaigns we conduct and the fact of limited stock numbers, this may not be possible due to stock shortage. In this case we will either offer you a similar product or the reimbursement of the purchase price of the initial product.

If an order is received damaged however the damage is not apparent at the time of the delivery, The notification of the damage should be made strictly within 2 business days.  We reserve the right to refuse any claim where the damage has not been reported within 2 business of the delivery being made.

We reserve the right to request supporting documents (such as written notification, confirmation and Images) for warranty claim, transit damage or lost in transit claims.  Reasonable quality evidence is required to support case assessment for the best possible solution.

All faulty or damaged goods received must be kept as they may be needed for Inspection or collection, we may also require them to be returned for a refund.

Disclaimer of Warranty

Certain products supplied through  Home Furniture Outlet may be serviced and supported by the manufacturer. This will be advertised and the product will be sold with the manufacturer’s warranty. We kindly ask you to contact Home Furniture Outlet first regarding any issues with the product.

Termination

We reserve the right to cancel, delay, refuse to ship, or recall from the shipper any order if fraud is suspected. In the event these Terms & Conditions or your membership or account are terminated the restrictions regarding intellectual property matters, the representations and warranties, indemnities, and limitations of liabilities set forth herein (as well as any other of your obligations which by their nature should survive termination) will survive termination.

Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we exclude our liability for any loss or damage (including but not limited to indirect or consequential losses) arising out of your use of or purchase from our web site. To the extent permitted by law, our liability to you in relation to any product supplied to you is limited to the purchase price of the product.

Force Majeure

Home Furniture Outlet is not liable for any delays in performing its obligations caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control. We will endeavour to perform our obligations as soon as possible within a reasonable extension of time.

Please review our other policies, such as our return policy, posted on this site. These policies also govern your visit to www.homefurnitureoutlet.com.au ; We reserve the right to make changes to our site, policies, and these conditions at any time. If any of these conditions shall be deemed invalid, void, or for any reason unenforceable, that condition shall be deemed severable and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining condition. It is your responsibility to check these terms and conditions periodically for changes. Continued use of our site and orders of goods following the posting of changes will mean that you accept and agree to the changes.

WARRANTY CLAIM

Home Furniture Outlet ensures that all products sold by it have appropriate warranties. Please contact our Customer Care Team at 0422 77 7731 to submit a warranty claim. You may be required to send us images of the damage to aid in our assessments. We will then finalise your warranty claim. Please do not attempt to return an item before speaking to one of our specialists (you may be responsible for any associated expenses).
We will not refund or replace a product that you have bought and received where, in our reasonable opinion, the product has: become of unacceptable quality due to fair wear and tear; misuse; failure to use in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions; using it in an abnormal way; or failure to take reasonable care.
